I don’t know how it happened, but we went another three months without posting anything. I guess we’ve just been busy. So here are a few highlights from the past three months.
Karl wrapped up baseball and soccer at the end of July.
In the final regular season game, Karl’s undefeated soccer team, the Eels, faced off against the only other undefeated team—and Karl’s friend Nick was on that team.
Next on the highlights tour is the first day of school—for the kids and for Deborah. Her job has turned out to be wonderful, but she is a lot busier than I ever anticipated. There’s a lot more to it than handing out band-aids and cookies.
Karl had a great football season, scoring about half of the touchdowns for his team over the season. The blurry streak you see on the picture below is the start of an 85-yard-run, the longest of the season.
Last weekend was the Third Annual Family Football Classic at Mike and Lamiae’s. It was the first time all of Deborah’s siblings have been in the same place in quite a long time, and we were only three nephews short of the full family.
Finally, this morning was the Boo Run Run on Harriet Island in Saint Paul. Karl, Colin, and Justin all ran the kids’ race (Colin and Karl were first and second place!), then Karl turned around and ran the 5K with Deborah and Angie.
