Pajama Day

Laura and Karl got to live out their dream of going to school in their pjs, since today is pajama day (and since Karl's preschool is in the elementary school, the preschoolers get in on all the fun stuff too). Here are Laura and Karl after they just got up, er, I mean, right before they headed off to school. Look! Karl even has bed hair to make the look really authentic! And a big thank you goes to Aunt Megan for picking out such stylish sleepwear.

Penelope ♥ Shoes

Penelope has picked up the odd habit of collecting shoes on her dogbed. She'll walk over to the front door where people take off their shoes and slippers, then slink back to her bed with the booty. The funny thing is, she never chews them, she just likes to sleep next to them. I guess she just likes the smell of our feet. Whenever I come home and want to put my slippers on, I always know where to look...

Baking with Grandpa

Karl spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa today, and he got to help Grandpa make some pies. Perhaps Karl will get good at making piecrusts, so I won't have to buy the premade ones anymore.

"The Gruffalo"

Yesterday we went to the Children's Theatre to see "The Gruffalo," which is based on a children's book about an imaginary monster that turns out to be real. It was a great show, especially when the Gruffalo leapt off the stage, ran into the audience, and ended up sitting right next to Laura for a few moments! (Laura had an empty seat next to her.) Laura wasn't so sure about him roaring and carrying on right beside her, but luckily the Gruffalo didn't stay there too long and was soon off running around again. Karl's highlight of the evening was getting to stay up until 10:00 ("Mommy, that's almost YOUR bedtime!").
