Catch-up: Home Improvement

Deborah has been busy this spring with home-improvement projects. The first task was painting nearly all of the walls in the house. My fear of heights got me out of most of the work, but I don’t know if Deborah would have taken on the project had she known that 1) the scaffolding we rented didn’t have safety rails…

…and 2) the scaffolding wouldn’t quite be tall enough to reach the ceiling in the living room, so we put a ladder on top of the scaffolding.

A couple of weeks later, we put a tile backsplash up in the kitchen. It was a tense few days around our house—Deborah and I each had different approaches. But it all worked out.

A few weeks later, Deborah asked the kids what color she should paint the coat closet. Laura blurted out “orange,” so Deborah called her bluff!
