The Family Fun Never Ends!

Our holiday festivities have finally come to an end, and we were so busy that the kids are actually looking forward to going back to school! On Wednesday, we went to Matt's cousin's house to celebrate Christmas with Fred's family, and for the annual Meissner Family Caroling. It was also Matt's Uncle Wally's birthday, which meant Dairy Queen cake! (Note:The exclamation point is for the kids' benefit. I didn't want to confuse Laura by acting excited for Dairy Queen.)http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5285/5362042009_495f34943b.jpg

Yesterday we went to Pam and Fred's to celebrate with all the Meissner-Schneider cousins. They are a goofy bunch!http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5001/5313748877_e89baf5d35_z.jpg

Playing "Pass the Present" is always a highlight.http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5122/5313749375_052b8b780d_z.jpghttp://farm6.static.flickr.com/5084/5314344256_a46f9de36d_z.jpghttp://farm6.static.flickr.com/5086/5314344556_4616a67a06_z.jpg

The four oldest grandkids put on a music recital. Laura, Aly, and Emily played piano pieces and Karl played his guitar. We found out that all four of them are quite the hams.http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5081/5314344928_d0fc6dd38f_z.jpghttp://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5313750639_e6914d0bdb_z.jpg

Here's the complete set: Laura, Aly, Emily, Karl, Kathryn, and Nathan http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5286/5314345442_79d16dd72d_z.jpg

It's not just Steve and Karl, look at how Nathan and Matt are both sitting in the "Pass the Present" picture.
