Keeping Promises
Always be careful what you promise kids. I had mentioned earlier in the week that we could go to the playground on Friday, so even though they were busy playing with neighborhood kids the whole day, when they came home for dinner all we heard about was how excited they were to go to the playground. I had a Mona Vie party to go to (long story), but Matt put in some good daddy time and took the kids to play.
Then they went to Dairy Queen (I thought Matt seemed a little too eager to take them to the playground!), where Laura and Karl discovered how much they like Blizzards.
